Haifa Wehbe
Despite the controversy around Haifa Wehbe becoming a Ramadan staple, we’re actually looking forward to her new series Mariam. In her double role, Wehbe appears as Mariam and Malak, twins who were separated as kids and reunite following the death of their father. The series stars Egyptian actors Khaled El Nabawy, Amal Rizeq, Mimi Jamal, and Omar al Said, and is directed by Mohammed Ali.
Nicole Saba
Starring alongside Sherif Mounir, Nicole Saba will play the role of Scheherazade in A Thousand and One Nights this Ramadan. Saba has been keeping fans updated by sharing shots from location in Egypt on her Instagram.
Cyrine Abdel Nour
With two film projects in production and one series for Ramadan, the Lebanese star is definitely keeping busy. In the TV show 24 Kirat, she plays the role of Mira, a children’s show producer who falls in love with a millionaire suffering from memory loss after an accident. The US $2.5 million show is currently being shot in Lebanon and Egypt and is directed by Saied AlMarouq.
Nadine Njeim
The former Miss Lebanon is caught in a love triangle between Yousef AlKhal and Taim Hassan in the series Cello. The show is shot in Lebanon, UAE, and Turkey.
Mai Ezzedine
Mai Ezzedine stars in Halet Eshk and Nancy Ajram performs the title song. The actress states that Ajram is her favorite singer and can’t wait for everyone to hear it.
The holy month of Ramadan is just around the corner and that can only mean three things: eat, pray, and
watch TV. Every year, we contemplate which drama series, sitcoms, and prank shows to watch (since there are so many airing on multiple channels), and we get very disappointed if we choose the wrong ones. This year, we’ve shortlisted five series, featuring some of our favorite stars, to tune into this Ramadan.
