The exhibition, which consists of a rotating display of each artist’s work, takes place in the Great Room, the grand ceremonial space of The Galleria, and features four up-and-coming contemporary female Emirati artists, including Sugar Vintage designer, Leila Al Marashi; photographer and lecturer at the American University of Sharjah, Alia Al Shamsi; visual artist, Maitha Al-Mehaibiri; and artist, Noor Al Suwaidi.

While Al Marashi and Al Shamsi were already featured earlier this month, visual artist Maitha Al-Mehaibiri will put her work on display from today until November 30th, and showcase her romantic and fantastic take on the theme of nostalgia using several mixed mediums, including film, digital art, photography, water and oil painting, and writing. The 25-year-old will also curate a workshop on the last day of her exhibition that focuses on heirlooms, by creating an artwork inspired by both the objects themselves and Emirati culture.

Following Al-Mehaibiri’s exhibition, Noor Al Suwaidi will then install her artwork in the last leg of the exhibition with her colorful take on portraiture and figurative abstraction. On the exhibition’s closing day, Al Suwaidi will lead visitors on a personal tour of her works.
