Launching today, the fourth annual Design Days Dubai exhibition will once again offer the best in design with an international and regional lineup of 44 renowned exhibitors including an unprecedented number of 16 design studios, galleries, and design professionals based in the Emirates and wider GCC.
“We have lots of exciting elements for the 4th edition of Design Days Dubai, which stands to be our most internationally diverse lineup of modern and contemporary designs to date,” Fair Director Cyril Zammit told Style.com/Arabia. “New for 2015, we have various interesting large-scale installation works as well as the unveiling of pieces which have been created especially for Design Days Dubai.”
The fair will introduce ten special projects, all created exclusively for Design Days Dubai 2015, including “Nada Debs—10 Years,” a 10th anniversary retrospective exhibition showcasing the Lebanese designer’s iconic pieces and her evolution as a contemporary craft designer.
The world premiere of “Lumière” by Dutch design house Commonplace Studio and exhibited by Brussels-based Victor Hunt Designart Dealer also looks to be a promising feature. The stunning installation conveys the form and feel of a cloud through its 28 suspended pendant lamps, which have moving images projected onto their inner surfaces.
