Other than front-row appearances at Topshop Unique and Burberry Prorsum, the once ubiquitous Cara Delevingne has stayed away from the catwalks of New York, London, and Milan. Many speculated that Delevingne was taking a breather from the runways because of her new career as an actress. Sure, the five films she has coming out in 2015 surely take up a lot of her schedule, but it seems that something else is keeping her from Fashion Month: her music career.
This evening both Delevingne and Beyoncé posted pictures to Instagram of their hands on the same audio mixer, the multichannel type you’d use to record a well-produced studio album, hinting that a Cara D and Queen B collaboration is already under way. It’s worth noting that this won’t be Delevingne’s first foray into the music world; she sang on Pharrell’s “CC the World” song for Chanel’s Salzburg pre-collection, and most recently stars in ASAP Ferg’s music video for “Dope Walk.” Whatever the duo comes up with, you can bet it will be played or seen at fashion weeks to come.
