The UAE is proving to be a hot off-duty destination for fashion’s Insta-set. When not enjoying its idyllic beaches or posing in front of the world’s tallest building, the famous faces are immersing themselves in the country’s rich culture by dressing as the locals do.
After celebrating the Mall of the Emirates’ 10th anniversary, model Chanel Iman set off for Abu Dhabi to visit the breathtaking Grand Mosque, where Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner were also spotted. The besties—who were in the UAE to ring in the New Year—looked stunning in the traditional Islamic veil.
Khloé Kardashian opted for a black abaya and veil to cover everything (except her emerald eyes) while in Dubai last year. Meanwhile, Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio reached for a white robe and matching scarf while enjoying a leisurely camel ride through the desert during the annual Dubai Shopping Festival.
