It’s official, 27-year-old singer Balqees Fathi is married. The Yemeni-born Fathi announced her engagement to Saudi businessman Sultan Bin Abdullatif on Friday, and married on Saturday night. The couple officially tied the knot by way of Katb el-Kitab—the Islamic marriage contract. The bride chronicled the intimate ceremony with her devoted fans via pictures and videos through her Snapchat account.
Fathi danced the night away with close family and friends wearing a gold, fairytale ballgown and a diamond necklace, while her long, chocolate tresses were left loose, and styled in romantic brushed-out waves. The Mabrouk singer opted for bold makeup in the form of thick, emphasized arches, and a dramatic smokey eye paired with brow-skimming false eyelashes. A swirl of pink blush daubed onto the apples of her cheeks gave her a radiant, youthful glow, and her look was finished with a swipe of bold, look-at-me red lipstick.
Singer Ahlam Alshamsi congratulated Fathi, wishing her “an everlasting happy married life,” while beauty mogul Huda Kattan took to Instagram to congratulate her friend on her wedding day. While Fathi and her new husband are married by Islamic law, the date for their upcoming wedding celebration has yet to be announced.
