Glamour Wins on the 2016 Oscars Red Carpet

Hollywood A-listers put on their sexy best last night to celebrate the 88th Annual Academy Awards ceremony at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. Leonardo DiCaprio finally took home his golden statue for Best Actor for his role in The Revenant; Brie Larson received the honor of Best Actress for her outstanding performance in Room; and Spotlight took home the award for Best Picture.

On the 2016 Oscars red carpet, column gowns, draped dresses, and figure-hugging silhouettes dominated. Charlize Theron will be remembered for her plunging red Dior Haute Couture gown; Cate Blanchett looked lovely in a frothy mint green, 3D-floral embroidered gown signed Armani Privé; and Margot Robbie stood out in a long-sleeved, plunging, metallic gold Tom Ford draped number. Daisy Ridley made an impression in an embellished tea-length Chanel Haute Couture dress and Emily Blunt beamed with pregnancy glow in a jeweled, powder pink Prada gown.

Shades of indigo and purple were trending on the 2016 Oscars red carpet with Brie Larson in Gucci, Naomi Watts in Armani Privé, Reese Witherspoon in Oscar de la Renta, and Tina Fey in Versace. As for Middle Eastern designers, Priyanka Chopra wore a sheer white, embroidered, strapless gown by Zuhair Murad Haute Couture.

On the men’s side, Jared Leto turned heads in a Gucci red-piping suit with a carnation in lieu of a bowtie. Meanwhile, Pharrell Williams, The Weeknd, and DiCaprio kept it classic in black sleek suits.
