Concealer is a can’t-live-without beauty product. Known for its ability to hide dark circles and blemishes, the makeup must-have can be found in most beauty bags. However, wearing it during the summer can pose a problem as the high temperatures also bring sweat and stickiness. Fortunately, there’s a new wave of budge-proof formulas hitting the shelves, and they’ve been conceived with the humidity in mind.

The Estée Lauder Double Wear Waterproof All Day Extreme Wear Concealer (US $25; AED/SAR 92) is a water-resistant formula that provides up to 24-hours of wear without any caking or creasing. The product is spiked with hyaluronic acid, which means that there are also anti-aging benefits to be reaped.

The beauty equivalent to a shot of espresso, the Lancôme Effacernes – Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer (US $31; AED/SAR 114) banishes dark circles instantly. Reach for the long-wearing formula on a steamy day, as its water-resistant polymers won’t allow it to succumb to the humidity.

Those looking to whittle down their makeup routines during the hot season can opt for Kevyn Aucoin’s The Sensual Skin Enhancer (US $48; AED/SAR 176), an all-in-one formula that can be used as a concealer, foundation, and a highlighter—and that’s not even the best part. Repeated touch-ups won’t be necessary, as the waterproof formula is completely budge-proof.

Take note: setting a creamy concealer with a powder in the summer is not a good idea, as the two products will just separate in the heat. Pat a small amount of mattifying cream on top (we recommend Becca’s Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector™) (US $36; AED/SAR 132) to lock your pigment in place. Store a pack of blotting paper in your clutch to absorb any unwelcome sweat.

Below, three of the best waterproof concealers (and a must-have primer) that won’t budge—no matter how hot it gets.
