Max and Nina Leykind, founders of cosmetic brand, Eyeko, have invited British TV host and fashion idol, Alexa Chung, to launch her own make up collection, the “Alexa Set”.
According to WWD, the London-based brand will guide Chung through her creation of a USD$45 limited edition set that will include waterproof black mascara and black eyeliner. If one considers Alexa Chung’s reputation as a tastemaker and her more than 1.1 million followers on Twitter, this collaboration might quickly start to bear fruit,
“I’m really excited to be working with Eyeko,” explained Chung. It is probably no secret I’m a big fan of the cat-eye eyeliner flick and after trying many different brands, Eyeko definitely is the best in creating my favorite 60s look. I love that I won’t be just a face of the brand, but that I’ll also get to work with Max and Nina on the whole creative process.”
This will be just another facet of Alexa Chung’s multitasking activities, which include being a regular contributor to British Vogue, DJing, and publishing her book IT on September 5th in the UK. The “Alexa Set” will launch in November and already has a waiting list.
