Clown contouring, tontouring, strobing—every few weeks it seems that a new iteration of the contouring craze emerges. The latest? Tape contouring.

Middle Eastern beauty maven Huda Kattan unveiled a simple face-sculpting hack via a 15-second clip on the @HudaBeauty Instagram page. “The easiest way to contour your face” she wrote on the caption. Indeed, unlike the aforementioned contouring methods, this one doesn’t employ a self-tanner, an arsenal of color correctors, or Kim Kardashian West’s makeup artist; the only tool required for this contouring hack is tape. The sticky adhesive works as a stencil to ensure an even, precise, and neat contour each time, especially for those who need extra guidance when it comes to where the contour and highlighter should be applied.

To contour your face with tape, follow these three steps.

1. Apply adhesive tape on the areas of the face that you wish to highlight including the sides and bridge of the nose, high points of the cheekbones, forehead, and along the jawline.

2. Once your face is mapped, use a concealer and bronzing powder to contour and highlight within the lines created by the tape.

3. Peel off the adhesive strips, and use a Beautyblender to blend the defined creases.
