Fishtail braids are a firm favorite among us beauty girls, but even if you have tons of practice braiding, all those tiny strands can take forever to style just right. If you are short on time or are a braiding newbie, try this sneaky shortcut from @thehairexpert_au to get a cool, fishtail-ponytail hybrid.
How To:
1. Pull your hair into a ponytail.
2. About two inches down, wrap a small, clear elastic band around the hair—almost as if you were creating a second ponytail.
3. Separate this new section using your thumb and index finger and pull the end of the ponytail through.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 down your ponytail.
5. Finish with plenty of hairspray, such as the Alterna Bamboo Smooth Anti-Humidity Hair Spray (US $18; AED/SAR 66), which will lock out frizz.
