Test Kylie Jenner’s Winged Eyeliner Trick

Since launching her new website, Kylie Jenner has been regularly sharing beauty tips and tricks—for example, how to create the appearance of a bigger cleavage (answer: a Victoria’s Secret bombshell bra). More recently, she gave away a tried-and-tested beauty hack for perfecting the winged liner, specifically meant to help those who lack a steady hand.

The 18-year-old shared a video of herself giving her best friend, Tiffany, a makeover. Prior to applying any eye makeup, Jenner put two pieces of scotch tape underneath her friend’s bottom lashes, angled towards her temples as a stencil to guide the eyeliner for a flawless cat-eye application.

This sticky trick is a favorite among beauty aficionados as it ensures that the eyeliner is straight, precise, and even every time.

Read below to learn the game-changing beauty trick in four easy steps.

1. Take an inch-long piece of scotch tape and stick it to the back of your hand to decrease its stickiness, so that it does not aggravate your sensitive under eye area.

2. Stick the tape underneath your bottom lashes and angle it towards your temple.

3. Begin lining your eyes, starting from the middle of your upper lash line with an angled eyeliner pen, like the Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Push-up Liner (US $24; AED/SAR 88), and extend it along the tape, using it as a ruler.

4. Remove the tape and complete your cat-eye by sketching a thin line towards the corner of your inner eye.
