A little iridescence on the eyelids is undoubtedly feminine. We take a trip back to the Chanel RTW Spring 2012 show, where the models’ eyelids were adorned with the faintest hint of sparkle. If you are afraid to rock a set of glittery lids, in fear of looking as though you have applied your makeup in the dark, on a trampoline, and without a mirror, please take note that with a smattering of opalescent, finely milled eyeshadow, the look remains both modern and fresh.
How to get the look:
Apply an eyeshadow base to give your pigment something to hold on to, but in the heat, avoid using a gloss to anchor your glitter as this can melt and leave you with some serious glitter fallout.
When using a loose pigment, press the glitter onto your lids for the most flawless finish.
To keep your eyes from verging on a futuristic look, add a slick of liquid eyeliner to give your eyes a solid shape.
A good couple of coats of mascara will open up the eyes—just remember to curl your eyelashes before applying the mascara.
Fill in your brows to add strength to this look usinglight, feathery strokes with a soft kohl pencil. Choose a shade lighter than your natural brows to create the most natural-looking finish.
