Fresh Faced Allure at Holmes & Yang
According to Jeanne Yang, one half of the design duo, the look at Holmes & Yang “was created with the modern woman in mind.” Perhaps, but the dewy faces and feminine raspberry stained lips were in fact very much reminiscent of Katharine Hepburn, circa the 1940s. This provided for “a nice balance against the masculine textures of the collection”, said the creator of the look, Bobbi Brown.
“She might be running around town, but at the end of the day, she looks fresh, feels great, and exudes polished beauty.” added Yang. To realize this vision, Brown began by prepping skin with the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream and Hydrating Eye Cream.
Complexions were kept radiant with a light covering of the Luminous Moisturizing Foundation dusted with the Sheer Finish Pressed Powder and Antigua Illuminating Bronzing Powder to contour cheeks for a healthy glow.
Highlighting Katie Holmes’ collaboration as the face of the brand, artists used the not so subtly named Bobbi & Katie Palette to shade eyelids along with the iconic Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Espresso Ink to define eyes and the Extreme Party Mascara on upper and lower lashes.
Raspberry Pot Rouge was used to softly stain cheeks and lips for a fresh, flushed, natural finish.
