Cara, Kim, and Selena at the LACMA Gala

Red carpet season is officially in full throttle, as witnessed at the LACMA Art +Film Gala where Hollywood turned out in full force to honor Quentin Tarantino and Barbara Kruger. Presented by Gucci, the event saw some well-dressed beauties grace its red carpet and we’re bringing you our top ten favorite beauty looks. Sometimes simplicity is key. Supermodel Toni Garrn looks elegant and polished with a sleek ponytail, which echoes the clean lines of her Gucci ensemble. A metallic wash of color on her eyelids, just a hint of bronzer, and a nude matte lip allow her true beauty to shine through. A well-groomed and brushed-up set of eyebrows really help anchor a smoky eye. In this black and white photograph, we see how Jennifer Lopez sculpts her pout with a lip liner to make her lips appear fuller—a great trick, but remember to use the same shade as your lipstick. With a plunging neckline, ensure your décolletage is well polished as well. Cara, Kate, and Selena are snapped working smoky sets of eyelids. A metallic chocolate brown shade works beautifully with blue eyes, while dark eyed beauties can go as dark as they dare. Wear the look with liquid eyeliner traced along your top lashes—and mascara is an absolute must. With her dark locks and big brown eyes, Kim looks the most elegant with her hair swept back from her face. The side parting and the slightly wet-look lengths tucked behind her ears give the gown and diamonds an added edge. Amy Adams is our go-to redhead—having colored her hair a little warmer, it has a mirror-like shine to it. The side parted, retro waves give softness to her face and are her number one beauty statement. No heavy face paint required. It’s fair to say that I have never seen Michelle Rodriguez look so good. Her newly shaped fringe balances out her features and the slightly wavy tresses work well to soften her look. Her face shape lends itself to some contouring at the cheeks and the nude lipstick works in harmony with her olive skin tone. Evan Rachel Wood has always stood on the gothic side of beauty. Debuting a brand new choppy haircut and hair color, she looks both fresh-faced and elegant. With her creamy complexion, a red lipstick works beautifully while the strip of false lashes opens up her eye line. Kate Hudson has ditched the pink hair (thank goodness) and has gone back to baby blonde—where she should stay. Her filled in arched eyebrows frame her feline eye shape which really only needs a slick of liquid eyeliner to grab attention. We love that she is rocking a different shade of pink on her lips while opting for a petal pink gown that shows off her athletic body to full effect. Raven-haired beauty Salma Hayek cleverly adds inches to her petite frame with an oversized bun. When trying this look, ensure that your hair isn’t pulled back too tight as that can be very aging. Give your skin an enviable bronzed glow with a sweeping of bronzer and add a pair of sparkly earrings to give an illusion of luminosity to the look. Little Selena Gomez looks very grown up with her side-parted, sleek locks. Smoky eyes using anthracite gray work well with her dark eyes and hair, while the nude lipstick keeps the look from being too “done.” Topped off with a set of dark glossy nails, the sparkling ensemble is kept far from pageant territory.
