Happy Birthday, “Queen of the Stage” Myriam Fares

With five studio albums, a number of accolades, and a series of sold-out concerts under her belt, Lebanese singer Myriam Fares is undoubtedly one of today’s most popular Arab stars. Today, in celebration of her 32nd birthday we pay homage to the “Queen of the Stage” with a five-step guide on how to get her famous curls.

For Naturally Curly Hair

Step 1: After washing your hair, prevent any pulling and breakage by brushing it through with a wide-tooth comb. To avoid frizz, never brush curls while hair is dry.

Step 2: Apply two drops of argan oil to hair. The Moroccanoil Treatment Original (US $43; AED/SAR 158) not only smells amazing, but it also helps soften your curls, add shine, and prevent frizz and flyaway hair.

Step 3: Next, part your hair and scrunch your curls with the L’Oréal Paris Studio Line Silk and Gloss Curling Mousse (US $5; AED/SAR 20). The mousse creates volume and adds definition. It should be used on damp hair so that the curls do not come out dry and brittle. Opt for wax instead of mousse if you wish to achieve a messy, bed-head look.

Step 4: Let your hair air-dry or use a diffuser to speed up the drying process.

Step 5: After your tresses dry, use a hairspray to maintain volume throughout the day.
