What do the following hairdresser terms actually mean?
The Flip: When the hair is parted on one side and either flipped over with volume or tucked behind the ear.The Geometric Bob : A one-length bob, the same length at the back and front.
The Graduated Cut: When the back is shorter than the front.
Warmer Color: References to autumnal colors, coppers, golden, and warmer blondes.
Balayage: A highlighting technique where you don’t use foils and paint the color on the hair, like an artist.
Ashy: These are wintery, cool hues: matte, gray-toned, and flat colors. The opposite to warm colors that have more lift in them. Your skin tone will determine whether you suit ash colors or warmer colors.
Toner: A rinse that changes the tone of your hair color—it can make brassy blondes a lot cooler and cool tones a lot warmer in a matter of minutes.
Brazilian Blowout: A technique for straightening the hair. Keratin treatments, Brazilian blowouts, and hair botox all provide similar results, they just use different techniques.
