With Fall 2015 comes an exciting array of new, colorful makeup palettes and with Eid al-Adha just a few days away, we can’t think of a better time to reintroduce bold, graphic colors into our makeup routine. To help you channel your inner runway model, Dior’s international makeup artist, Ralph Ltief, breaks down the fashion house’s Fall 2015 backstage beauty look in six simple steps using Dior makeup.
Step 1
Prep your face with the Dior Capture Totale Dreamskin Corrector (US $115; AED/SAR 422) to even out your skin tone and conceal redness and blemishes. Afterwards, apply the Star Fluid Foundation (US $50; AED/SAR 184) lightly over your face for a weightless coverage.
Step 2
Create a subtle contour by applying a foundation one shade lighter than your base on the forehead, underneath the eyes, cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, and the chin. Choose a darker shade of foundation to apply underneath the cheekbones, along your hairline, on your jawline, and down the sides of your nose. With the backstage blender, dab the foundation on the areas that require more coverage and brighten up your under-eye area with the Star Concealer (US $36; AED/SAR 132).
Step 3
Brush the Diorskin Nude Cosmopolite Illuminating Face Powder (US $45; AED/SAR 165) on the apple of the cheeks and center of the chin. Add a touch of color to your face by blending the Diorblush Cheek Stick in Cosmopolite Coral (US $34; AED/SAR 125) on your cheeks with your fingertips.
Step 4
Apply the Backstage Eye Prime (US $28; AED/SAR 103) on your eyelids and lower lash line as a base to ensure that your eyeshadow will stay in place. For a more pigmented finish, dab the 5 Couleurs Cosmopolite Palette in Electric (US $63; AED/SAR 231) using a slightly damp blending brush. Apply a clean line of the purple shadow over your entire eyelid and above your crease. To create a more graphic look, avoid blending the shadow. Complete the eye makeup with two swipes of the Diorshow Mascara (US $28; AED/SAR 101).
Step 5
Fill in your brows with the Diorshow Brow Styler (US $29; AED/SAR 107). Match the eyebrow pencil with your hair color. Apply the pencil in soft, upward strokes for a natural look and finish with a swipe of the Diorshow Brow Styler Gel (US $29; AED/SAR 107).
Step 6
Prime your lips with the Dior 2-in-1 Fix It (US $36; AED/SAR 132) before putting on the Dior Addict Fluid Stick in Cheek (US $35; AED/SAR 129).
