Bridal Beauty Advice From the Abdel Aziz Sisters’ Makeup Artist

Rising reality TV stars Nadine Abdel Aziz and her two sisters Farah and Alice (the trio that appears in The Sisters) made it to this month’s cover of Layalina magazine. Dressed in bridal gowns from Esposa, the three sisters made a pretty picture. Their glam squad for the cover shoot included Lebanese makeup artist Sharbel Hasbany.

As you might well know, the makeup needed for a photo shoot or for filming is similar to what you would need for your wedding day; it should be resilient to weather conditions, cover your imperfections, enhance your natural beauty, eradicate shine, and most importantly, stay in place. Fresh from the cover shoot with the Abdel Aziz sisters, Hasbany gave us some insight into beautiful bridal makeup.

Elizabeth Whiston-Dew: How do you prep the skin so that it is ready for makeup?

Sharbel Hasbany: First, I create an even skin tone by smoothing the Make-up Studio Neutralizer. I follow this with a layer of lotion and then serum to hydrate the face. The final product to use to prep the skin is a primer. My favorite is the Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Smoothing Primer.

Which is the best foundation and concealer for olive skin tones?

The perfect base is the Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation. As for concealer, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Concealer takes the top spot.

How do you ensure that the makeup stays put for the entire day and into the night?

Using a primer before applying foundation is always a good start for makeup. To finish a look, I mist the M.A.C Cosmetics Fix + over the face.
