Eerie Smoky Eyes at Altuzarra
For Altuzarra’s F/W 2013 show, makeup maestro, Tom Pecheux, created a Carine Roitfeld-esque, rich, mahogany, smoky eye. Despite the strong color palette, Pecheux kept the look soft by applying the pigments with his fingers, smearing them across eyelids and bringing the color down to the lower lash line, stopping halfway to create an eerie, bruised quality.
Get the look: For a wearable version of this look, use a grayish shadow and keep the color to the eyelids. Blend with a coffee brown shade from the outer corners of the eyes taking the eyeshadow down to the lower lash line. For wearability, stretch the color beneath the entire eye to the inner corner. Finish with black mascara and defined brows.
