Yesterday, a friend handed me this little cylinder (after declaring her love for it): the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick (US $35; AED/SAR 128) is a hybrid between a lipstick and a gloss and is quite possibly the most nourishing formula I’ve ever tried.
Applied straight from the lipstick bullet, this glides over the lips and delivers a shot of pigment and leaves a mirror-like shine, minus the glitter. No lip balm necessary, to boot—it relieves dry, chapped lips and doesn’t leave a sticky residue (like a lip gloss does). The addition of SPF 15 to this formula means your lips are protected while plumped—another reason why I’m adding this to my list of makeup essentials for afternoon lipstick pick-me-ups.
