Rouge Fingertips by Louboutin for Valentine’s Day

This Saturday is Valentine’s Day and we’re in the mood for wearing a glossy red manicure—and when it comes to gorgeous fingertips, there is no polish quite as alluring as Christian Louboutin’s Rouge Louboutin.

To ensure that your nails are looking their best this February 14th, follow our step-by-step guide to achieving the perfect at-home manicure with a little help from Louboutin. Before you get started, check out the short film above by Thomas Lenthal for inspiration.

Step 1: Clip your nails

Use a nail clipper and trim your nails down to your desired length.

Step 2: File them into shape

Using an emery board nail file, shape your nails and even out any jagged edges.

Step 3: Clean your nails

Ensure that your nails have no traces of any leftover polish or base coat, as it will make your new manicure appear uneven.

Step 4: Gently exfoliate your hands

Using your favorite body scrub, give your hands a gentle rub. This will remove dead skin and give your hands a glow.

Step 5: Moisturize with hand cream

Just like the skin on your body and face, the skin on your hands needs moisture after you exfoliate it. Use a rich, luxurious hand cream to keep your skin smooth and hydrated.

Step 6: Apply a base coat

Evenly apply a thin layer of the Loubi Nail Primer (US $55; AED/SAR 202, sold with Loubi Nail Gloss) to create a protective, smooth, and flawless surface.

Step 7: Apply color

Using quick, light strokes, apply Rouge Louboutin (US $50; AED/SAR 183) to the nails. Once the first coat is completely dry, you can apply a second coat.

Step 8: Add a top coat

Once your nails have dried, apply the Loubi Nail Gloss (US $55; AED/SAR 202, sold with Loubi Nail Primer) to seal in your mani. The gloss illuminates and magnifies the shade while providing a chip-free, brilliant shine and UV protection.
