The “Hun” is the It Summer Celebrity Hairstyle to Know

Celebrities aren’t exactly like us, but if there’s one thing that we have in common, it’s that they sport a topknot just as often as we do. The latest hair statement for the summer is a half-bun called the “Hun,” which is created by twisting the top section of your hair into a bun, and letting the rest fall loose, creating a chic yet blasé effect. It’s ideal for the days that we don’t want to wear our hair up, but don’t want the full weight of our locks burdening us in the heat.

Jennifer Lopez wore her hair in a half-bun in her Back it Up” music video, but she wasn’t the first celebrity to rock the hairstyle; Khloé Kardashian looked fabulous sporting the Hun at the Dubai Mall earlier this year, while Fouz Alfahad was spotted enjoying dinner with a portion of her hair twisted neatly on top of her head.

Recreating the look is simple and looks great on long  as well as short tresses. First, give your hair some texture by spraying it with the Batiste Dry Shampoo Original Clean & Classic (US $5; AED/SAR 19). Take a section of hair from the top of your head, and twist it into a bun. Next, secure your topknot with bobby pins and hairspray. The strands that are left loose can either be styled straight or curly, depending on your mood.
