The Trick
In the complicated and often paradoxical world of fragrance, creating “simplicity” is no easy task. Famed for its cotton polo shirts, Lacoste has attempted to encapsulate the feeling of pure, white cotton on skin in the new Eau de Lacoste fragrance for women. “For Eau de Lacoste the universe of the brand is very clear: the iconic crocodile, the petit piqué cotton, and the classic lineage of the fashion label,” stated Antoine Delgrange, Global Marketing Director of P&G Prestige. “So we looked at turning this simple fashion design philosophy into a feminine and beautiful sensorial experience,” he added.
The olfactory journey begins with top notes of white pineapple, mandarin, and bergamot and transitions to a blend of white and orange florals and jasmine sambac with pineapple flower to add to the delicate, feminine scent. To help create the creamy quality of the perfume, sandalwood and vanilla are combined with vetiver and Peru balsam.
The Tip
To make your fragrance last as long as possible, keep the bottle out of extreme temperatures and direct sunlight which can alter the chemistry of the scent. Avoid rubbing your wrists together after spraying the perfume as this can also alter the smell.
