With her caramel limbs, pixie features, and a helping of androgynous cool, Leona Walton is being touted as the latest face to watch on the model circuit. Walton is known in the industry as “Binx,” a nickname that was bestowed upon her by her brothers as an ode to how she reminded them of infamous Star Wars character Jar Jar Binks.

Having graced 27 runway shows this season alone, Walton is being championed by Balmain Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing—he calls her #mylonglostsister. Her latest lead role sees her appear as part of the Balmain Fall 2014 Campaign as a solidified member of the Balmain Army, alongside young model mavens Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn.

With an American Vogue cover (May 2014) to add to her fast-growing CV, Binx is being recognized for her large brown doe-eyes, freckles and very slight 5’11” frame. Signed at aged 17 to Next Model Management, she had previously dreamt of becoming a professional footballer. With the fashion realm at her feet and a solo Céline campaign (Spring 2014) also under her belt, she might just start to rival Miss Delevingne for some billboard space.
