Just when we thought that highlighting couldn’t get more extreme than strobing, a makeup brand called Bitter Lace Beauty proved us wrong with a product dubbed the “Rainbow Highlighter.” It’s proven to be so popular, that once the Internet got word of the shimmering beauty product, it sold out instantly and can’t stay on shelves.
The highlighter—the Prism Illuminating Rainbow Highlighter (US $22; AED/SAR 81)—is a handmade pot of luminizer that can be swiped onto the cheeks in the form of a rainbow, or blended for a glowing, shimmering effect. The best part? It works on all skin tones.
Jenna Georgescu is the creator of Bitter Lace Beauty, and makes all of her highlighters at home by hand and revealed, “It takes about 12 hours to make 100 pans,” Georgescu said. “We are anticipating having 500 for this next restock but we will keep restocking as often as we can,” she added.

For a rainbow glow, Georgescu recommends using your fingers to achieve the best result. “One swipe of the pan and one swipe to the cheek. You can go back and forth in the same direction to blend the colors into each other,” she advised.
The multicolored product is currently out of stock and while customers anxiously wait for highlighter to become available, some have resorted to making their own DIY versions.
