After a fair few seasons out of the fashion game, supermodel Natasha Poly marked her return with a sashay down the runway as the first face for Prada’s Fall 2014 ready-to-wear show during Milan Fashion Week. Looking every inch the runway master, this Russian doll is certainly back where she belongs. Having married Peter Bakker in 2011 and given birth to a baby, Aleksandra Christina, in November of last year, Natasha joins the slew of supermodel mothers like Gisele Bündchen, Karolina Kurkova, and Lily Aldridge.
Taking to the catwalk, Natasha debuted an eye-catching set of spidery lashes, a far cry from the false lashes spotted on the runway at Versace. With the lashes firmly in the spotlight, Pat McGrath chose a handful of girls to sport a red lip and blue eyeshadow, stating “In a way, that red lip, black mascara, and blue eyeshadow is the beginning of makeup, isn’t it?” Slicked back buns created by Guido Palau were made to reference the ballet dancer inspiration from Miuccia Prada. The entire look was crafted to mimic what a dancer looks like post performance. As Style.com reported backstage, elements of the look were “undone” as Pat McGrath handed over the beauty reigns to the models themselves, asking them to apply their own lipstick—all under her watchful eye, of course. “Take your time, darling. Don’t make it bad,” she quipped, before admitting, “I might get in trouble, because they’re too perfect.”
