A long ponytail so straight that light bounces off the lengths, is a hairstyle every woman ought to have in her styling repertoire. There’s something so youthful about a ponytail that swings while you strut. Pair your ponytail with jeans and you have a sporty, equestrian vibe, or, pair it with a floral print ensemble and you have pretty la prairie chic. Needless to say, the ponytail is a truly versatile hairstyle.
Hair stylist, Orlando Pita, created the “perfect ponytail,” as he called it on his Instagram account, for the Oscar de la Renta Spring 2015 show yesterday. The model’s hair was pulled back with no parting and the placement was just above the top edge of the ears. A set of hair extensions were wrapped around the model’s tresses and fastened into place. For a seamless finish, a one-inch section of the ponytail’s length was wrapped around its top end to keep any telltale extensions hidden from view.
