Beauty Sound Bites: Philosophy Predicts Brighter Skin

kitessence copy“This new brightening range is designed not only to remove dark spots, but also to prevent redness and correct pores—all the troubling skin imperfections that take the focus away from your ideal skin. It addresses uneven skin tone, discoloration, and rough texture.”

—Muriel Pujos, Head of Scientific Communication at Philosophy

Our obsession with selfies has us honing in on any hint of an imperfection. There’s no time for Photoshop now—we want clearer and perfected skin yesterday. Dark spots, hyperpigmentation, enlarged pores, and redness, be gone.

The appearance of dark spots on your skin can be caused by aging, environmental pollution, UV rays, hormonal changes, and skin irritations. As we age, external aggressors can give the skin—notably on our hands and face—a more weather worn and mottled appearance. But if you diminish the imperfections, you reduce your skin’s visible age from the outside in. It’s quite a simple equation.

I had a skincare powwow with Muriel Pujos this week to discuss Philosophy’s latest launch: Brighten My Day. Pujos talked me through the three-step program designed to help give luminosity and clarity back to your epidermis (the outermost layers of the skin).
