“She’s a little bit ‘70s, a little bit Stevie Nicks,” said key makeup artist Lucia Pieroni about the Chloé Fall 2015 girl. “Think of a fresh-faced, gorgeous girl who has been outside all day, so she has flushed cheeks.” So natural was this “no-makeup” makeup look that it was difficult to tell whether the models backstage had even been in the makeup chair.

For this look, the M.A.C Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Groundwork was worked over the eyelids just to bring a feeling of light to this “no eyeshadow” look, while the lips and cheeks were dabbed with a little M.A.C Cream Color Base in Vintage Rose.

A slick of the M.A.C Cream Color Base in Luna and Pearl was swept down the bridge of the nose and on the cheeks, so that the models’ complexions had a natural highlight.

We spotted top models Caroline Trentini, Lily Donaldson, and Anja Rubik all backstage, but for Eugene Souleiman (the man behind the covetable hair), Anna Ewers was the ultimate Chloé girl. Why? “Because she looks like a modern Brigitte Bardot.”

One of his tricks to keep the hair framing the face as the girls strode down the long catwalk was to blow-dry the hair forward, so the strands didn’t flip back over the shoulders. “We have taken the volume out of the roots by spritzing the hair with water and created texture by spraying the ends with saltwater,” Souleiman commented.
