At Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring ’15 show, models appeared to have arrived from Spain by way of Sicily with blossom-garnished chignons and crimson lips. Those striking mouths by maquillage master Pat McGrath turned out to be a sneak preview of Dolce & Gabbana Beauty’s first-ever matte lipstick. Saturated velvety lips also turned up at Burberry, Missoni, Zac Posen, and No. 21, too. Consider making a statement with the sliver of skin still left exposed by swapping out your Rosebud Salve for a lip color that packs a punch. Though you’ll have to wait until early April to get your hands on the Dolce lipstick, an array of new matte and semi-matte options from Marc Jacobs, Laura Mercier, Tom Ford, and Smashbox will get you the same standout lips in the meantime—and offers the quickest way to break out of the winter blahs.
