Introducing Isabel and Ruben Toledo—the pair are nothing short of a power couple on the New York City art scene. Having met in high school, the Toledos married in 1975 and have since carved out successful creative careers in their chosen fields—his in art and hers in fashion.
Ruben Toledo is a celebrated illustration artist who has collaborated with fashion giants like Louis Vuitton and published sketches for best-selling Penguin classics. Isabel Toledo is the former Creative Director of Anne Klein and now presides over her own fashion label and counts the American First Lady, Michelle Obama, as a client.
Both are award winners and authors and there’s no doubt that this Cuban-born couple leave a trail of intrigue wherever they collectively step. Their latest role sees them unite as the creative force behind their pending M.A.C Cosmetics collection which Ruben describes as “a dream come true.”

What to expect? Kooky color combinations and exquisite packaging; Isabel informed that, “Colors such as yellow, greens, and lilacs were used in combination for the eyelashes and same color eyeliners. Lipsticks in varied hues of reds were selected to create the eternal, unforgettable mouth. The human face is one of the most prolific art canvases in history and the greatest natural wonder.”
Due to hit shelves this coming April 2015.
