During my one-on-one makeup tutorial with Vimi Joshi (M.A.C’s all star pro makeup artist for the Middle East), Joshi was ecstatic to show me the latest color editions to the M.A.C Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 Foundation. Shades C3.5, C4.5, and C5 were specifically developed with Arab skin tones in mind. They are “more golden and peachy in tone, which works wonders for olive skin,” she explained.
Wanting to see the results in real life, Joshi took the C4.5 shade and blended it with a little of the M.A.C Care Blends Essential Oils, Grapefruit + Chamomile on the back of her hand. With her foundation brush at the ready, she began to buff the warm shade into the skin of the demonstration model. I could see instantly how the warmer hue lifted her complexion while the medium coverage formula helped disguise flaws.

Suitably impressed, I tried a shade on myself and headed out for dinner. The color worked well with my post holiday tan and the formula didn’t budge for hours regardless of being exposed to both humidity and air conditioning. I expect these shades to be a sell out story.
