Chanel’s prominent interlocking “CC” initials appear to be on the up-and-up, as they are now used by the House of Giorgio Armani introducing its new “Color & Care” lipstick collection, Rouge Ecstasy.
The selection of 36 lipsticks in signal colors and pastel hues will be previewed in Sephora’s 21 stores throughout the UAE on August 26th and is likely to build on the previous commercial success of Armani’s Sheer Lipstick, which shares a similar concept of combining lip balm and anti-aging cells with long-lasting color particles.
The “little extra” that makes the difference between the two aforementioned ranges of lipstick is the brand’s so called, “Melting Cream Complex”, a cosmetic technology that allows water to become enclosed by the epidermis so as not to evaporate, while still capturing outdoor humidity—in other words, a moisturizer that promises luscious lips. A matching range of eye shadows and skin foundations are expected to arrive in stores in October.
Armani’s Rouge Ecstasy CC campaign is already online and reveals the Italian brand’s unexpected penchant for beatboxing.
