After a series of new appointments in 2014 (Lucia Pica at Chanel and Peter Philips at Dior), Lancôme announced Lisa Eldridge as its new Global Creative Director of Makeup. The Brit is known not only for her work on the red carpet with celebrities like Kate Moss and Keira Knightley and campaigns with houses such as Prada and Chloé, but also for her tutorials on YouTube. With more than 1 million subscribers, it appears that the cosmetic giant is cashing in on the Eldridge’s talent and her approachability in the digital sphere. Estée Lauder may have nabbed the ultimate “Instagirl” in Kendall Jenner, but this beauty brand secured a pro with serious DIY skills. We look forward to seeing who sells more in 2015.
