Heads Up With Kiehl’s

Screen Shot 2014-01-16 at 3.40.26 PMWe cleanse our face twice daily, and exfoliate our skin once a week, so why wouldn’t we do the same for our scalp? Our precious hair follicles are subjected to copious styling products, hairspray, and batiste, to name a few culprits.

Alongside the daily shampoo, conditioner, and weekly hydration mask, I’ve been on a mission to find a deeper cleanse. After admitting to my hairdresser that I was fond of an apple cider vinegar hair rinse once in a while (to cleanse the hair and scalp from product build-up), she was mortified. Backstage at the shows, models’ hair is cleansed with washing up liquid—which I have also tried on occasion.

In search of squeaky-clean strands, I found the Kiehl’s Deep Micro Exfoliating Scalp Treatment. Formulated as an anti-dandruff treatment, it gives the feeling of a thorough cleanse, so I have added it to my weekly regimen. The vitamin-rich potion is packed with fine apricot and argan exfoliators to both stimulate the scalp and encourage a healthy cell turnover.

How to apply?

Massage a healthy helping of the product into damp hair concentrating right at the roots. After five minutes, rinse off the product and follow with your daily shampoo and conditioner. Once blow dried, your hair will feel full of bounce for days.
