Got Fine Hair? Take a Page Out of Jessica Alba’s Playbook

Jessica Alba is ever-present on celebrity “hot” lists and beauty polls. Known for her flawless caramel skin and enviable shades of honey hair, lately, Alba has gained more notoriety for her aesthetic appeal than acting roles. In her television series, Dark Angel, she sported long, dark hair and in the Quentin Tarantino movie Sin City her trademark brunette locks were dyed an icy platinum blonde. An exception to the hair color rule (always stick within five shades of your natural hair color), Alba sports both dark and light shades with aplomb.

This year, Alba was announced as the beauty ambassador for Braun, so her latest shorter haircut may come as a surprise to some. Debuting her newly chopped lob (long bob) on her Instagram account, she stated, “Uh oh, someone chopped off her hair.” Celebrity hairstylist Giannandrea Marongiu is the man responsible for this fresh new look (with clientele including Heidi Klum, Gwyneth Paltrow, Drew Barrymore, and Kristen Stewart to name a few).

Posting this picture alongside the star, he commented, “Yesterday makeover for the girl with the most magnetizing smile @jessicaalba my version of the bob an A-line texturized, sharp silhouette.” We expect that this lob will be one of the most requested haircuts in salons this spring. Why? It gives instant volume to those with fine hair and if coiffed correctly, it will also take years off your birth date.
