Beauty Masterclass: Hot Pink Ombré Lips

how-to-create-ombre-lips-tutorial-with-topshop-hannah-murrayWe first fell in love with the ombré trend because of our two-toned hair. Now, as the hair trend makes its way out, ombré is being introduced to our lips.

What exactly is it? Well, it’s a gradation of color that evolves from lightest to darkest; it begins at the center of the mouth and is usually outlined by a darker shade of lip pencil or lipstick to imply fuller lips.

Topshop’s beauty consultant, Hannah Murray, shows us how to get this cute look in the Instagram video below.

1. Apply a lip primer directly to the lip for a smooth base. Using the Topshop Lip Ombré in Astound (US $14; AED/SAR 52), take the top color in the compact and dab it onto the center of the lips and work outwards to the edges, patting it with your finger for a loose, diffused edge.

2. Apply the bottom color only to the center of the lips. The cream-to-powder texture creates a matte finish when blending into the base color.
