Gel Had a Moment at the Golden Globes

Gel appears to be the product that pros reached for to create hairstyles that stayed strong from the first flash to the after-party. Lorde and Katie Holmes both sported superlong and sleek ponytails à la Alexander Wang and Valentino, while Girls star Jemima Kirke wore her ombré strands straight and with a sharp center part. Allison Williams and Diane Kruger gave Old Hollywood hair a modern update with shellacked, Veronica Lake-esque waves. And Orange Is the New Black‘s Taylor Schilling kept it classic with a shiny chignon. Though each woman employed the product in a different way, the same could be said for all: Not a hair was out of place as they made their way down the red carpet.
