See the Mind-Blowing Makeup Masks at Givenchy

Of all the masks that makeup maestro Pat McGrath has crafted backstage, today’s sequin- and Swarovski-studded iteration at Givenchy might just be the best. Similar to Miuccia Prada, designer Riccardo Tisci sent both sexes down his Fall 2015 menswear runway with equally impressive maquillage. A beard of shells dangled from Leticia Altenbernd’s jewel-encrusted face, while sparkles and paillettes enhanced a male model made up as a skeleton. More werable than full-on face paint, however, were smoky eyes punctuated by green glitter and two-tone lips seen on the likes of Doutzen Kroes, Vanessa Moody, Joan Smalls, and Mica Arganaraz.

And what better way to frame all that over-the-top glitz than with curls shellacked to foreheads and temples? Hair pro Luigi Murenu also provided a handful of boys with plaited pigtails similar to the look seen at the house’s Fall ’14 ready-to-wear show, whereas the girls were treated to lengthy single braids. Here, more of our favorite behind-the-scenes beauty snaps.
