The lob may have been the “It” haircut of the year, but now it’s time to introduce the “fob.” Gigi Hadid’s faux bob (fob) at the 2015 American Music Awards on Sunday gave the impression that the model’s blond, waist-skimming locks had been cut to create a chin-grazing bob that she wore slicked back. Thankfully, Hadid hinted to E! News host Giuliana Rancic that the look was not a permanent one, though she certainly had us fooled. With the model’s real hair at the front, the jagged bob was created with the help of a hairpiece. She accessorized the “fob” with an ornate ear-cuff and luminescent makeup.
The leggy blonde walked the red carpet in a custom-made Bao Tranchi dress that showcased her toned form and her flawless glow.
As much as we love the short hair on Hadid, we don’t know if we’re quite ready to see her part with her long, beautiful locks—making the “fob” the ideal alternative to chopping off her tresses. Girls with long hair, take note.
