The brief from Amato designer, Furne One:

This is a story of alien abduction. The aliens have landed on earth and are abducting patients from a psychiatric ward. As the chosen few morph from human to alien folk, they learn how to dance the waltz in the moonlit sky—but, of course.

Makeup artist Vimi Joshi had to translate this into a tangible beauty look for the runway and we got an exclusive peek into how she created the sci-fi spooky look.

To create the super severe contoured cheeks, three different shades of foundation were used. The snowy white eyelashes and lips were painted on using the M.A.C Chromacake in White. When mixed with a little M.A.C Prep + Prime Fix+, this solid watercolor turns into a paste that can be applied with a brush. In addition to the white lashes, the lower water rim of the eye was lined with the M.A.C Kohl Pencil in Fascinating to provide the feeling of additional frost.

The layers of M.A.C Glitter in 3D Silver embellishing the brows and forehead were held in place by a helping of M.A.C Mixing Medium, taking the all-white, snow-bunny look into extra terrestrial territory. The powdered partings and miniature face-framing ponytails were just the kooky icing on the top, and we wouldn’t expect anything else—and neither would Amato’s clientele: no less than Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, and Lady Gaga.
