Grow Your Own Thick Eyelashes

A set of false eyelashes has become a prerequisite for red carpet appearances as well as stage performances. If you watched MTV’s 2014 Video Music Awards on Sunday, then you would agree that it was hard to spot a star who wasn’t wearing an eyelash-enhancing set of false lashes. Thicker, fuller lashes help create an illusion of youth and give a doe-eyed look that is both extremely feminine and alluring.

Twiggy, Hepburn, Bardot—they were all a dab hand at piling on false lashes, yet anyone who has tried to apply them DIY-style will know that there is serious room for epic failure. If you don’t glue them tight enough to your own eyelashes, you get the dreaded double row, or worse still, when the glue doesn’t stick, you can end up with what looks like a deadly spider hanging off your cheek or hair.

We’ve also gone through the phase of eyelash extensions, which no matter how good they look, leave you with stumpy excuses for lashes after they are removed. This is where the new generation of super serums comes in.I feel like everywhere I turn, there are flourishing sets of lashes that stand on their own, no help needed. The serums are packed with essential vitamins, peptides, and amino acids to strengthen your lashes and provide the nutrients that the follicles need to fortify new lashes.

We have tried and tested a fair few and here are our top three lash boosters:

How to apply:

Paint on the clear solution directly onto your lash line, like you would apply liquid eyeliner, daily. The clear solution is undetectable so you can apply it anytime. I like to keep mine on my desk so that I don’t forget, while others prefer to apply it after their nightly cleansing routine. Keep it up for a month and you will have a full set of longer lashes to flutter.
