We all went BB cream crazy in 2012 when the beauty balm from Asia started to flood the market. Then we had the CC cream for color correction, the DD cream (dermatologists’ dream cream), and now we have—wait for it—the EE Creme from Estée Lauder.
Launching in February, the Estée Lauder Enlighten Even Effect Skintone Corrector SPF 30 is the last in the tri-product Enlighten series and is a skincare/makeup hybrid designed to even out the skin tone and correct any redness or pigment inconsistencies during the daytime.
You really have to work to buff this hydrating and soothing formula into the skin. While it masks uneven skin, it appears to highlight pore size so it needs a dusting of loose powder over the top. It has been developed to safeguard the skin from environmental effects that can lead to premature aging of the skin—in particular, to combat the effects of pollution that can cause both pigmentation and dark spots.
The formula works wonders in concealing dark eye circles. Applied to the eye contour area, on the bridge of the nose, and on the top of the cheekbone, the cream helps illuminate the areas that can so often be plagued with shadows. We suggest dabbing the product into the skin using a damp beauty blender. Once applied, you can add your color corrector and concealer and take a few years off your birth date.
