Summer makeup should be lightweight and the same rule applies when you’re packing for your upcoming holiday. Your makeup kit should have all the beauty necessities without taking up too much space in your luggage—but that is easier said than done. Luckily, Dior has launched a multifunctional backstage tool, which will hardly take any space and promises to take care of your face, lips, and under-eye area.
The new Dior Fix It (US $36; AED/SAR 132) is a weightless corrector with a hydrating core that acts as a concealer. The weightless product aims to cover blemishes and redness, erase dark circles, and prime and hydrate lips prior to lipstick application, significantly reducing the number of palettes, pots, and tubes that we would otherwise have to carry.
The silver, compact tube fits perfectly in our clutches and bags for a quick, all-over flawless complexion. Dab directly on the skin or blend with your fingertips to erase pores, fill wrinkles and lines, and conceal other imperfections (such as blemishes, redness, and discoloration). When used under the eyes, it reduces the dark circles and brightens without creasing.
The product, which was a central component at the Fall 2015 Dior runway show, is also meant to be used on the lips but we wouldn’t recommend it; the hydrating core running through the middle of the stick neutralizes the lip tone—handy for backstage, but not so much for your everyday look. Yet, it dries out the lips, and therefore defeats the purpose of priming.
