If there’s one beauty product you need to buy next spring, it’s highlighter. Backstage at Marni, Chloé, Thakoon, Balmain, and countless other Spring ’15 shows, makeup pros swiped glow-getters like NARS The Multiple in Copacabana and MAC Mixing Medium Shine across models’ cheeks, left the rest of their faces bare, and sent them out onto the runway. It’s a fresh, minimal routine we’ll be trying ASAP—but at last night’s Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ party in Los Angeles, Diane Kruger made a case for luminous skin, eyes, and lips. Kruger expertly paired her lit-from-within glow with a touch of sparkly gray shadow and pale, frosty pink lipstick. (That’s right—the ’90s pout is making a major comeback.) Applied with a light hand, sometimes more really is more.
