Cher’s Iconic Hair Reimagined for Marc Jacobs’ New Campaign

You can’t turn back time, but you can forge a new path by tweaking an iconic beauty look. Just ask Cher, whose signature center-parted, raven-hued strands popped up on Marc Jacobs’ Instagram account this morning. The designer only joined the photo-sharing app two months ago, but he’s already making a statement on social media by casting the legendary singer in his Fall ’15 campaign. Though Cher’s waves aren’t exactly derived from the disco era, we’re feeling this soft and brushed-out take on the era’s classic, fluffy curls. And despite the fact that extreme lengths have long been reserved for the younger generation, the one-name wonder has never been one to follow rules—pushing 70, Cher is still sporting waist-grazing hair. Mom and star of Roberto Cavalli’s latest ad, Ciara, is also pushing the limits in terms of length, but stayed true to ’70s form by dividing it down the middle. If you plan to catch up to both fashion muses by the time the Fall looks drop in stores, you’ll need to start now. Try the three products in the slideshow above to promote Cher-level growth.
