Since the departure of Peter Philips, the House of Chanel has remained rather tight-lipped about the appointment of its next beauty successor—until now. Although Tom Pecheux and his creative team have been manning the beauty station backstage for the brand’s runway shows of late, it is, in fact, makeup artist Lucia Pica who will take on the role of Global Creative Makeup and Color Designer for Chanel, effective January 1st.
Pica has been working with the brand from behind the scenes for its latest beauty campaigns. Her command of color has landed her high-profile clients, such as Adidas and Armani, with many cover stories and runway shows under her belt.
Will she keep the Chanel beauty legacy alive? For the love of makeup, we most certainly hope so.
