Single Braids at Céline: The Ultimate Humidity-Proof Hairstyle

celine photo 3Backstage at the Paris Fashion Week Céline Spring 2016 show, hairstylist Guido Palau created simple and clean braids inspired by British soul singer Sade. Luckily for us, the hairdo offers a chic solution to humidity—the bane of many women in the Middle East—in the form of a single, sleek plait.

Braids not only withstand all weather conditions, but they also work with every hair texture. They can be quickly created anywhere, so the next time your tresses resemble a ball of frizz, take a hair tie and lock your strands in place with a neat plait.

To create the look, Palau applied the Redken Shape Factor 22 (US $19; AED/SAR 70) through the hair, pulled it back into a secure ponytail, and then tightly weaved the length of the tresses. The end result is a chic, fuss-free fix to get us through our worst humid hair days.
