Backstage at the Paris Fashion Week Céline Spring 2016 show, hairstylist Guido Palau created simple and clean braids inspired by British soul singer Sade. Luckily for us, the hairdo offers a chic solution to humidity—the bane of many women in the Middle East—in the form of a single, sleek plait.
Braids not only withstand all weather conditions, but they also work with every hair texture. They can be quickly created anywhere, so the next time your tresses resemble a ball of frizz, take a hair tie and lock your strands in place with a neat plait.
To create the look, Palau applied the Redken Shape Factor 22 (US $19; AED/SAR 70) through the hair, pulled it back into a secure ponytail, and then tightly weaved the length of the tresses. The end result is a chic, fuss-free fix to get us through our worst humid hair days.
