Sporting a look usually reserved for the school playground, Eva Longoria has brought the braided ponytail back to the red carpet. Longoria paired it with a smoky eye, nude lip, and a beautifully bronzed complexion, making her the definite stand out at the AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute To Jane Fonda event. Her high, tight braided ponytail was glamorous yet sophisticated—and is extremely easy to re-create.
To try Longoria’s look, first create a sleek ponytail positioned between the crown and the back of your head. Fasten it tightly and wrap a small section of hair around the elastic and secure with a bobby pin. Braid the hair and secure the bottom with another band. To finish, simply spray with Lea Journo Voilà Finishing Spray to add shine while providing flexible hold.
Because this look requires all of your hair to be pulled back and off of your face, it can be quite severe and usually works best on oval shaped faces. For this reason you should also make sure you keep the rest of your makeup simple and opt for neutral palettes, plenty of bronzer, and a dark eye with long lashes.
